My story of reclaiming my power over my life & body!

I started resenting my body and myself at a young age. My self-hatred was a by-product of years of bullying and growing up with strict rules. Becoming a professional athlete in my early teens just added to this pressure. I tried countless diets and trained extremely hard to stay in shape. It didn’t matter how much weight I lost or gained, I didn’t feel good about myself. I believed that my weight, body, and other’s validation determined my worth. 

Struggle was my life. I battled with anxiety and was completely out of touch with myself and my needs.

I did what I “had to do” never questioning the price. I tried to “medicate” my pain with food when I was a child, parties and drugs in my early twenties, and alcohol later on.

Can you relate to my story?

As a result of this built up pressure, in 2009, I went through a complete emotional, physical and financial breakdown. This was my turning point. 

I healed the relationship with myself and my body as a result of countless hours of reflecting, journaling, meditation, reading tons of books, attending seminars, hiring coaches and healers, and listening to my inner voice.

I transformed the way I approach my workouts, eating, body, and life. I freed myself from societal expectations, the expectations of the fitness industry, stopped people pleasing, started listening to myself and living life on my own terms.

I no longer obsess about exercising, dieting and my weight. Instead I focus on being healthy, happy and living in harmony with my body. I embrace my curves and who I am!

My life mission is to share what I learned through my experience and through working with other women. I guide women on their journey of learning to understand their bodies, feel comfortable with themselves, trust their feelings, and follow their inner guidance. I support them as they make the necessary changes in their lives, so everything around them reflects their inner harmony.

At the end of 2018 I published my book Weight Loss Through the Soul.’ In this book I share the steps I took on my healing journey. 

When I officially broke away from the Fitness Industry, I created a workout called Elevate Movement Therapy. It isn’t just a workout, but a spiritual experience and I recommend for those who want to deeply connect to their bodies and souls.
I offer Coaching (using the ‘Honor Yourself System’) and Workout (Teaching the art of the human body with Elevate Movement Therapy) sessions in group or private settings, and online courses. For more information visit the “Work with Me” pages.
